How can I manage my electricity costs?
Aurora PAY AS YOU GO meters offer Time of Use pricing so you can take advantage of different electricity rates at different times of the day. During these times the specified rate will apply to the use of all your appliances.
Power use is most expensive during the morning and less expensive later in the evening, so taking advantage of the cheaper rates by running your washing machine, dryer or dishwasher during the night is a good way to manage what you are spending on electricity.
Rates are also cheaper in winter and Aurora has Standard (uncontrolled load) and OffPeak (controlled load) rates, as well as concession rates, based on the Customer Concession Scheme for Energy initiative of the SA State Government.
