How Does It Work?

With Aurora PAY AS YOU GO you will never receive another power bill again. That means no more surprises and more control over your budget.

  1. An Aurora PAY AS YOU GO meter is installed at your home or rental property*.

*If renting, you must get your landlord's approval prior to proceeding with installation.

  2. You're given an Aurora PAY AS YOU GO Smart Card that you 'charge up' with credits at any Aurora PAY AS YOU GO Recharge Agent. Slip the card into the meter and the credits are transferred.

  3. Your Aurora PAY AS YOU GO meter displays the credit you have at all times. It helps you take advantage of cheaper electricity rates at different times of the day and displays when it's time to purchase more credits.

The meter has $10 Emergency Credit to ensure you are not without power if you cannot immediately get to an authorised Aurora PAY AS YOU GO Recharge Agent to recharge your Smart Card. As the name suggests, it is designed to help you out — but only in emergencies!
